I have heard someone mention that paying out 75% of the class entry fees is too much, that the club will not be able to make any money because we will be giving it all away. I have mixed feelings about this, but want to present it to the group for further discussion. Please give your thoughts and opinions on the matter.

My understanding is that the trophies ran about $200 per class per event. I believe that all classes, or all but one class, had a sponsor covering the trophy cost. I do not know what will become of the class sponsors for sure, that remains to be seen. The payout plan is to take 75% of the entry fee and turn it back around to the racers. For example, four rigs in a class, $65 per rig, makes a total entry fee of $260. 75% of that, $195, goes back into the payout, while the last $65 stays with the club. If we don't get the $200 per class per race from our sponsors, then we will be out that $200, plus the 75% of the entry fees. My hope is that we can still convince our former class sponsors to continue, their money will just go into the club instead of to trophies. If we get enough racer turnout then we come out ahead anyway. The problem will be getting that turnout. All those words mean, "Sorry Jason, I don't know for sure"

im working on getting more people out just gotta get the flyers printed if possible.......just have to see what happens the closer we get to june
my understanding was making the races cash payouts would attract more people to the races since alot of other places give money instead of trophies which is the reason they have a bigger turn out then we do.
