Scattered the front diff on the S-10 in Astoria, still haven't found replacement parts. I have a front housing and carrier, but I need ring and pinion gears. Anyone have spares laying around? Gear ratio is 3.42:1
Alternately, if you have complete matching front and rear differentials (or gear sets) I would consider that too.

Hey Kirk, I have a S-10 over here that is wrecked but the running gear is good. I'll take a look at the gears when I get a chance and get back to you.

Thanks Marshall, I appreciate it. Chris Snodgrass dropped off a front diff with 4.10 gears in it so we're going to see if we can make those work. I'll let everyone know as soon as we find out.

Success! Replaced the front diff, put matching gears in the rear, and we have 4wd again.

I'm going to scrap the frame in a few weeks. On an 84 I assume the 4wd is a floor shifter and not a dash button? We're having a problem with the t-case on our 93 S15 Jimmy not engaging 4wd. Let me get back to you in a week or so?

Yes I can, give me a week or two we are leaving on a camping/wheeling trip in the morning and I have some more Military time to do. The old motor is toast, The tranny is good.

Now that you have the body off that frame, is it likely these parts are more available?
