I apologize, I though I had posted these already but apparently did not. They were up on the old CRMRA web page but had not found their way onto the new page yet.
General Meeting Results:
Our General Meeting was a great success. We had lots of folks show up and we talked about a great many ideas. After the meeting we ate dinner and handed out our awards. A good time was had by most.
The meeting resulted in some decisions and rule adjustments, which I will summarize here.
Decisions:
This is just a summary. The full details of each rule adjustment will show up in the 2010 rule book once we get it updated and reviewed.

Our General Meeting was a great success. We had lots of folks show up and we talked about a great many ideas. After the meeting we ate dinner and handed out our awards. A good time was had by most.
The meeting resulted in some decisions and rule adjustments, which I will summarize here.
Decisions:
- The tower staff (Rachelle and Kirk) want to pass the reigns to someone else
- Race dates for the 2010 season have been set, they will show up in the main page soon
- New Board members have been elected
- Officers have been elected
- We will make every effort to build AND USE the mud bog in 2010
- We will stay with the one-day race, but we will be looking into joining our insurance with the NWSCA so we have options:
- Use the track on Sundays for test-n-tune
- Overflow an event to Sunday
- Possibly run a different kind of event on Sunday
- Use the track on Sundays for test-n-tune
- We will look into adding finish line 'win' lights to the timing system
- We will implement a cash payout for all classes
- The initial decision is 75% of the entry fees for each class get split 50/30/20
- The exact details are still being discussed
- We will most likley print award certificates to hand out with the cash so our sponsors still get recognition
- We will still give out trophies at the annual awards banquet
Rule Adjustments - The initial decision is 75% of the entry fees for each class get split 50/30/20
- Changing to ET-based classes was voted down, we are staying with the points-based classes
- The 'engine swap' penalty has been put back in place and has been clearly defined:
- An aftermarket block is an engine swap
- Changing engine family is not an engine swap
- An 8-cylinder engine into a mini/compact truck is an engine swap
- The penalty for an engine swap is set at 1 point
- You only get penalized once even if you meet more than one criteria
- An aftermarket block is an engine swap
- Arm-drop racing rules were adopted
- The option is reserved to customize them as needed on a per-event basis
- Arm-drop racing will begin after an initial 60 minutes of timing system failure
- Once arm-drop racing is underway, the event can be paused one time for up to 30 minutes to try the timing system again
- The option is reserved to customize them as needed on a per-event basis
- Body Gutting has been defined
- Stock -vs- Aftermarket Cam has been defined
- All track records must be 'backed up' by a second run at the same event within 2%
- The 4-cylinder class has been merged back into the 6-cylinder, returning to a "4 & 6 Cylinder" class
- The ET 50/50 event has been removed
- One new class has been added: the ET class
- This is a 'Bracket Race' class that runs based on Elapsed Time and a Dial-In, just like the ET 50/50 was
- Entry fee FOR THIS CLASS is set at $50 (not $65)
- Full tree
- Staggered start
- This is a points class, you can earn points towards year-end points winner
- Racers in this class choose their dial-in prior to eliminations and stick with it for the entire event
- The class runs in order with the other classes, following the 4&6 Cylinder class
- Cash payout schedule is the same 75% 50/30/20
- Any vehicle running in this class must meet the safety requirements for the E.T. the vehicle runs
- This is a 'Bracket Race' class that runs based on Elapsed Time and a Dial-In, just like the ET 50/50 was
This is just a summary. The full details of each rule adjustment will show up in the 2010 rule book once we get it updated and reviewed.
